I offer personalized piano lessons tailored to each student’s needs, background, and level. My teaching emphasizes creativity, musical exploration, a strong foundation in technique and theory, and—importantly—fun. I encourage students to develop their own voice, whether through improvisation, classical repertoire, contemporary popular genres, or original compositions, while fostering a supportive environment where music remains both meaningful and enjoyable.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that music is a fundamental human right and that it is crucial to keep it accessible and relevant to everyone.

Having designed curricula for Berklee College of Music’s and New England Conservatory’s partner programs, I can help students with:

- Building essential piano repertoire

- Jazz piano basics & advanced techniques

- Original composition based on the student’s influences and classical compositional techniques

- Exercises for becoming a well-rounded pianist for contemporary popular genres

- Sight-reading (including lead sheets & contemporary notation)

- Arranging for solo piano & ensembles

- Performing in classical ensembles

- Performing in modern band configurations

- Accompanying soloists

I want to understand what excites the student and cultivate that—to explain why it’s exciting, how they can create something just as compelling, and how to approach essential repertoire with fresh ears. I emphasize that music is not only an art form; it is also vital to early childhood and adolescent brain development, a powerful tool for building and sustaining communities, and an opportunity to blend contemporary genres into a unique and eclectic voice. My goal is to show students how music can open pathways toward discovering a distinctive career, whether they are directly involved in creating and performing music or pursuing a path focused on its educational aspects and broader aspects.
