My Mission
What excites you about music?
I want to understand what excites the student and cultivate that—to explain why it’s exciting, how they can create something just as compelling, and how to approach essential repertoire with fresh ears. I emphasize that music is not only an art form; it is also vital to early childhood and adolescent brain development, a powerful tool for building and sustaining communities, and an opportunity to blend contemporary genres into a unique and eclectic voice. My goal is to show students how music can open pathways toward discovering a distinctive career, whether they are directly involved in creating and performing music or pursuing a path focused on its technical and educational aspects.
